Interested in preparing for a career as a Home Health Aide? Interact Caribbean Homecare Training Center LLC provides structured HHA training that combines classroom instruction, laboratory-based skills practice, and supervised externship experience to help students develop practical caregiving knowledge and skills.

Build Practical Home Health Care Skills

Home Health Aide responsibilities can involve assisting clients with personal care and health-related tasks while respecting their routines, dignity, safety, and individual needs. Our training gives students opportunities to learn the required material, practice essential skills, and demonstrate their competencies before entering the externship portion of the program.

Program Highlights

93 clock hours of HHA training

20 required modules to be successfully completed

Skills competency examinations practiced and completed in a laboratory setting

Curriculum available in English, Spanish, and Chinese

8-hour externship required after successful completion of the written modules and skills re-demonstration

Laboratory-Based Skills Training

Effective caregiving requires both knowledge and the ability to perform essential skills correctly. Throughout the program, students practice competencies in a laboratory setting and complete skills examinations as part of their training.

Before proceeding to the externship, students must successfully complete all required written modules and successfully re-demonstrate the required skills in the laboratory.

Supervised 8-Hour Externship

The HHA program includes an 8-hour externship that allows students to apply their training in an actual care environment. Under supervision, the externship emphasizes the appropriate delivery of personal care and health-related care while students gain practical experience with client needs and day-to-day caregiving responsibilities.

At the externship site, the program maintains a Registered Nurse Instructor-to-student ratio of one instructor for every three students. This provides students with direct supervision and guidance while they apply their skills.

Externship Settings

Depending on availability and the applicable affiliation arrangement, students may complete their externship in:

  • Home care settings
  • Congregate care settings
  • Assisted living facilities

Externship experiences are conducted at care settings with which the school has an Affiliation Agreement.

Training Available in Three Languages

Healthcare training is most effective when students can clearly understand instructions, procedures, and client-care responsibilities. Our HHA curriculum is offered in English, Spanish, and Chinese, providing language options for students who prefer to learn in one of these languages.

What to Expect From Enrollment to Completion

Students begin by completing the required 20 modules while participating in laboratory-based skills training. After successfully completing the written coursework and re-demonstrating the required competencies, students proceed to the 8-hour supervised externship.

This progression allows students to move from classroom learning to skills demonstration and then to supervised experience in a real care environment.

A Note About Certification and Employment

HHA requirements, certification or credentialing processes, and employment qualifications can vary by jurisdiction and employer. Students should confirm the applicable requirements for the location where they intend to work before enrolling or seeking employment.

The program information above describes the training structure provided by Interact Caribbean Homecare Training Center LLC and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of certification, licensure, or employment.
